All‟accensione dell‟apparecchio, dopo l‟inizializzazione del micro e dei registri in uso, viene attivata la tastiera, verificato se entrare nel menu di immissione del codice di attivazione o, se già presente, viene inizializzato il modulo P2k, verificati i vari checksum e presentata la schermata di lavoro con le impostazioni di partenza.
